January 25, 2011: New NIRS Briefing Paper: Nuclear Energy is Dirty Energy (and does not fit into a “clean energy standard”). If the radiation released routinely from nuclear reactors were the color and texture of oil, no one would ever again confuse nuclear power with “clean.”

January 24, 2011: 45 organizations, including NIRS, 350.org, Greenpeace, etc. sign on to Friends of the Earth-sponsored letter urging President Obama not to support dirty energy technologies like nuclear power and coal in his 2011 State of the Union address. More than 4,000 individuals also sent letters to Obama with that message in just four days.
