SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE!

I urge you to reject the "Draft Policy Statement on the Treatment of Environmental Justice Matters in NRC Regulatory and Licensing Actions," because it fails to resolve or even acknowledge the longstanding problem of racial discrimination in the siting of nuclear plants, factories, and waste dumps. Instead of capitulating to the nuclear industry, the NRC should thoroughly address the industry's history of siting facilities in minority and disadvantaged communities and on Native American lands, prohibit discrimination in siting, and commit to preventing construction of environmentally unjust facilities.
