NO DEAL FOR EDF/CONSTELLATION!

Dear Friends,
The Maryland Public Service Commission has now concluded its hearings on the proposed deal between Electricite de France and Constellation Energy. The PSC has ordered final briefs in the case to be submitted by Monday, October 26. We expect the PSC to make a decision shortly thereafter, probably by the end of the month.
That gives us 10 more days to act to stop this deal. Let's make sure all our voices are heard as clearly and loudly as possible.
First, send a fax and/or e-mail to Governor O'Malley here.
Second, send an e-mail to your state legislators here.
Third, call the PSC at 410-767-8073 and tell them No Deal for EDF/Constellation
Then, forward this alert or the link to the Chesapeake Safe Energy Coalition action page to your friends, the people in your office, your parents or children, the neighbor down the street who complains about electric bills (isn't that all of us?), and everyone else you can think of. Let's make the most of these 10 days. Let's all act to block this deal and end the threat of Calvert Cliffs-3 on the shores of our Chesapeake Bay.
