Public Meetings on Bush Energy Plan Scheduled; Your Participation, Comment is Essential!!
Hello All --
Well, the Administration has finally gotten around to asking the public what WE want in a national energy strategy. Here is YOUR opportunity to tell them:
"On June 12, 2001, the U.S. Department of Energy will be holding a meeting to obtain public comment on its energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. This meeting is one of seven such meetings being held throughout the country (on various dates) in accordance with the National Energy Policy."
The Chicago meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 12, beginning at 9 a.m.
James Benton Parson Memorial Court Room
Dirksen Federal Building
Room 2525
219 South Dearborn Street
It is absolutely critical that we pack this meeting!!! I would strongly urge you to make plans to come and give you comments, written or oral, at this important session. You'd better believe that the energy companies will be getting their people there en masse to testify that we need more coal, nuclear, and oil drilling. If you have the luxury of "personal business days" !QW! you work, here's a great excuse to use one.
Please contact NEIS if you intend to attend. We will soon provide more information on our website.
We have to win this one! Pass the word, post this announcement, get others to attend, and make plans to come yourself! Contact us if you need more information!!
Stay well,
Dave Kraft
