Privacy Statement

The Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS) makes every effort to keep confidential information about our website visitors, members and others who contact us. Neither our mailing list nor e-mail list are ever rented, sold or traded with anyone for any reason. NIRS members and mailing list members may occasionally receive information about projects or issues we support that is being sponsored by another organization (for example a conference on nuclear issues). In these cases, it is NIRS who is distributing the information—your information is never provided to other organizations or individuals.

All information collected about NIRS members and contacts is maintained at NIRS’ offices and may be viewed only by NIRS staff.

As of this writing (August 2004), NIRS does not use cookies or any other means of identifying visitors to the NIRS website. However, we reserve the right to change this policy if it proves necessary to provide more useful features to the site (for example, interactive features that the site currently lacks). If that occurs, we will amend this notice.
